Terrarium Care Guide
Keep your little world alive, green, and thriving.
Each Misti Leaf terrarium is handcrafted with love — and with a little care from you, it will continue to grow beautifully for months and even years.
1. Light & Placement
- Place your terrarium in bright, indirect light (like near a window with a sheer curtain).
- Avoid direct sunlight — it can overheat the glass and burn your plants.
- Keep away from AC vents or heaters.
🌤️ Best Spot: A well-lit room or desk with filtered daylight.
2. Watering Your Terrarium
- Open Terrariums (with succulents/cactus): Water every 2–3 weeks using a dropper or mist bottle. The soil should dry between watering.
- Closed Terrariums (with moss/ferns): Water lightly once a month or when the glass starts to fog excessively.
- Check the Soil: Always test moisture with your finger before watering — damp is good, soggy is bad.
- 💡 Tip: Overwatering is the #1 reason terrariums fail. Less is more!
3. Plant Maintenance
- Prune occasionally to remove dead leaves and encourage healthy growth.
- If you see mold, remove the affected part and increase air circulation.
- Rotate the terrarium every few weeks so all plants get equal light.
4. Cleaning the Glass Without Damage
- Gently clean the inside and outside of the glass with a soft microfiber cloth.
- For spots or moisture stains, use a Q-tip dipped in water-vinegar solution (1:3).
- Never press hard on the glass or use chemical cleaners.
- Hold from the base when cleaning to avoid tipping or cracks.
- 🧼 Do Not: Spray directly into the terrarium or shake the container.
